- Appointment of Returning Officer
Nominations will be considered and voted on for the following positions:
a) President: Role is to plan the Society’s activities in consultation with the Executive. Liaise with the Executive and any committees formed by the Society.Ensure an adequate handover, including any documents and materials, to the following Executive.
b) Vice-President: Role is to deputise for the president and be the main point of contact with City of Sydney for training venue bookings.
c) Treasurer: Maintains the Society’s finances in accordance with C&S and presents a financial report at the AGM. Must ensure an adequate handover, including any documents and materials, to the following Executive.
d) Secretary: Shall conduct correspondences, book meeting rooms, keep minutes of society meetings, Maintain the records and documents of the Society and ensures the Society's registration.
e) Training Coordinator: Chairs the meetings of the Training Committee and oversees all societal matters relating to training.
f) Publicity officer: takes responsibility for publicising the Society and its events as well as acting as a a point of contact for any media coverage and maintaining records of publicist and press material.
g) Inter-League Liaison: will liaise with other Roller Derby Leagues for the purposes of training and any other activities deemed suitable by the Executive.
h) Events coordinator: Oversee's working groups to plan social events and liaises with campus and community groups to coordinate efforts.
I) Membership Officer: Maintains a list of members and membership payments.
j) Insurance Officer: arranges and maintain league insurance and organises and keeps track of skater Indemnity Forms.
k) Grievance Officer: will address grievances in a confidential, impartial and timely matter, seeking to maintain fairness, equity, open communication and positive attitudes within the society. They will address internal matters of discrimination and harassment
l) Volunteers Coordinator: maintains a list of volunteers and organise them accordingly for any relevant society event.
m) Sponsorship Officer: will pursue and maintain all society sponsorship agreements.
n) First-Aid Officer: must hold an in date First-Aid qualification and provide medical assistance where needed/necessary. They will also organise the First-Aid committee to ensure First-Aid is available at all training sessions.
o) Uniform and Merchandise Officer: will organise the creation and design of team uniforms where needed, and design and order society merchandise. They will maintain merchandise stocktake list and track sales.
p) General Executive Members: they will attend Executive meetings and assist named Executive members in their roles as arranged.
Nomination for executive roles will be via an anonymous google form posted on private USRDL facebook page.
