The fine tradition of Sydney University Law Revues stretches back to the mists of antiquity (the '60s). A tradition of big dance numbers, witty and biting satire and less witty and biting pun jokes. A tradition of bright
young things with bursting creativity performing on stage… before selling out and becoming corporate lawyers.
The Law Revue is a stand-out of the University of Sydney Union’s revue season. It is known for its fast punch lines, huge choreographed dance numbers as well as comic song parodies. Each show is written, directed, produced and performed exclusively by students studying in the law faculty at the University of Sydney. The cast, crew and band work tirelessly in semester two so that each year’s Law Revue is bigger, better and more hilarious than the last.
The Sydney University Law Revue Society was formed in 2009 to ensure that law students at Sydney University can continue to showcase their talents for years to come.
The show goes on in mid August with auditions happening toward the end of semester one every year. Any questions should be directed to the Producers at the email below and if you're lucky, they might get back to you someday!
