Agenda: 1. OPENING AND WELCOME 2. APOLOGIES AND LEAVES OF ABSENCE 3. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING & BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES 4. ANNUAL REPORTS 5. CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS There are five proposed constitutional amendments. The first is the raising of the semester fee from $50 to $55: 3.3 The subscription fees per semester for membership shall be: i) Ordinary Membership - $55 ii) Course Membership - exempt (See 3.1ii) iii) Associate Membership - $55 The second is the creation of a ‘Splash liaison’ role on the executive under: 4.1 x) Splash liaison 5.10 The Splash Liaison shall: i) Attend rehearsals of the Sydney University Percussion Ensemble (Splash) ii) Liaise with the Splash Director and the Executive regarding rehearsals and performances of the Sydney University Percussion Ensemble (Splash), including booking venues as required and advising on all percussion requirements. The third is the changing the selection of the Splash director so that it is chosen by the executive and the performing members of Splash. Currently the director is just chosen by the performing members of Splash. 7.1 iv) Be nominated and decided upon by the performing members of Splash and the Executive 8.2 Splash will have a director to run the ensemble and liaise with the SUWO executive and organising committee on behalf of the ensemble The fourth is making it possible to suspend Splash for a semester if there are less than 3 performing members. 8.3 Suspension If there are less than 3 performing members of Splash in a given semester, the Executive may suspend Splash until the next semester where there are 3 or more performing members. During the suspension period the role of the Splash Liaison will be used to promote Splash to prospective members. The fifth is mandatory amendments (as dictated by C&S) for the following clauses: i) 6.3 ii) 7.3 iii) 7.7 (ii-v) iv) 7.8 v) 8.3 vi) 9.4 (i) vii) 10.1 (i,iii) viii) 12.2 ix) 13.1 6. ELECTION OF EXECUTIVES • Appointment of Returning Officer • Nominations will be considered and voted on for the following positions: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity Officer, IT Officer, Social Coordinator, Librarian, Equipment Manager, Splash Liaison and 2 General Exec positions Everyone is encouraged to run for an Exec position, no matter how long you have been part of SUWO! Being part of the Exec is a fun and rewarding experience, as it gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and directly contribute to the running of the band.  There is no limit to the number of positions you may nominate for. If you think there is someone within the ensemble who would be suited to a particular role, you are also welcome to nominate them.  All nominations must be made by email to by 11:30AM on Wednesday 20th September 2017. Please include the name(s) of nominees and the position(s) being nominated for.  PLEASE NOTE:  1. Ordinary Members (those with an Access Card who are students, staff or alumni of the University of Sydney) are eligible to be candidates for all positions. Associate Members (those with an Access Card but no official affiliation with the University of Sydney) are eligible to be candidates only for the two General Executive positions. 7.
